Virtual Science Library has announced that the Rector of the University of Warsaw has signed an annex to the agreement between Ministry of Education and Science and the University of Warsaw for financing Virtual Science Library in 2021
The annex includes:
- Purchase of national licenses for 2021: Cell and Elsevier journals with open publishing (OA), Springer (OA), Wiley, Nature, journal Science (along with the OA Science Advances program), Scopus databases, SciVal, Web of Science, InCites and Poland's contribution to the Scoap3 program in 2021. The subsidy for national licenses granted is sufficient to cover the costs at least until October 30, 2021, possibly a few weeks longer depending on exchange rates.
- Co-financing of the purchase of consortium licenses for 2021: ACS with OA, AIP, APS, CAS SciFinder, CUP with OA, Emerald with OA, EMIS, IEEE with OA, IOP with OA, JSTOR, Knovel, LWW with OA, NPG, OECD / IEA, OUP from OA, Passport, ProQuest, Reaxys and Taylor & Francis from OA. The grant awarded is sufficient to cover the planned co-financing of consortium licenses for the entire year 2021.
All contracts are expected to be signed by the end of May.
