Open Research Europe Platform

Open Research Europe Platform

The reviewed Open Research Europe platform is a publishing solution created by the European Commission. It is available to scientists implementing projects under the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programs. The platform enable the publication of articles and research data during the project implementation and after its completion without additional costs, ensuring that the requirements of the openness policy are met

The submission of publications takes place via a one-page transmission system. The editorial team conducts a pre-publication review to ensure that all ethical policies and guidelines are followed. The article is published within 10 days of submission. Authors may publish an updated version of their articles at any time if changes that are relevant to the results have been made. All versions of the article are publicly available and can be independently cited. Articles that have been verified and published on ORE are sent to major indexing databases (Google Scholar) and repositories (Zenodo). Open Research Europe plans to syndicate published content with institutional and national repositories in Europe and will gradually add new databases to the repository options where it uploads content, according to authors' preferences. The guidelines and a detailed description of the publication process can be found on the platform's website.

The most important information about the platform:
